Smugglers’ Creek, Riverside Cottage, Stoke Gabriel

Smugglers’ Creek is a cosy traditional fisherman’s cottage on the riverside in the lovely village of Stoke Gabriel, South Hams. There is a slipway just outside the cottage where you can launch your dinghy or kayak, and you can also hire a kayak from the quay in summer. Directly opposite the cottage is the fab River Shack Cafe for delicious drinks and meals morning to night (Thurs to Sunday in winter)The village boasts 2 pubs and a restaurant, general store with P.O. and the Dart River Gallery.

There are 54 steps in all but the reward is the view, of the sea, river, castle and Kingswear. Our property is an old coastal cottage with a modern twist. It provides the perfect location to sit and take in the river life, the steam trains or as a base to explore the areas many attractions.

Our Shepherd's Lodge is located in a beautiful woodland setting in the heart of the South Devon countryside on a working dairy farm - peace and quiet guaranteed! A spacious living area of well-equipped luxury awaits. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen area, modern fitted shower and toilet, a wood burning stove and a large double double mattress to sleep well. There is also a large sofa bed. Having undertaken a major modernisation the cottage retains many historical features . Sleeping 6 in 3 double bedrooms there is a large kitchen diner , sitting room with log burner , bathroom with bath and separate shower and a downstairs cloakroom . The enclosed small garden to the rear offers lovely views and the opportunity to star gaze at night . We allow flexible check in and check out times if there are no bookings either side. One dog is welcome for a booking fee of £60.

North Barn is an 18th century stone building, bursting with character, set on the banks of the River Dart. Originally a corn collection point, North Barn has been renovated to a beautiful, romantic ‘one-room-living’ self-catering space.
