The historic Foster House is one of the oldest homes in Oakes. The Foster House was built by a doctor in the late 1800s and the basement was used as an office for his practice. Located right by Hyatt Slough and Sand Lake Wildlife Refuge. This area is known for waterfowl, pheasant, and whitetail hunting. If any questions come up, we are also a licensed Hunting Outfitter in North Dakota.
