Treehouses at Candlelight Forest/Le Petit Chateau

Le Petit Chateau is one of two treehouses for rent in Candlelight Forest, a Simpler Times resort 18 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Le Petit Chateau sleeps 6 and has a deck featuring our signature Canopy Kitchette for a unique outdoor grilling experience. The treehouse is beautifully decorated in the french farmhouse style. The Candlelight Forest is central to all the famous Chattanooga attractions, in addition to offering fishing and canoeing on our own Lake Angela. Perched in a beautiful tree canopy, Le Petit Chateau is built upon a sloping ridge which provides for very safe and easy access, as the entrance is at ground level. Its charming decor is inspired by old farmhouses of the French countryside. Upon arrival, a short stroll through the woods (and after dark, under near-magical hanging moon lights) brings you to the front door of your home away from home. A queen bed nook with privacy curtain, an open living area, a full bath, a back porch, and many thoughtful nooks and crannies adorned with decorator surprises provide the downstairs living experience. Up a two-tiered loft ladder, 4 twin beds and a cute half bath await the more adventurous up above. Our own signature Canopy Kitchenette (TM) rounds out the experience. The back porch has a very simple kitchen that includes a stainless wash sink, concrete countertop, toaster, and a gas grill with side burner, all elegantly covered in the shade of an oversized umbrella. Dine upon the custom built-in fold-down table and antique wooden chairs. Le Petit Chateau combines the greatest of all vacation experiences - cooking outdoors with shelter to boot, cozy spaces for family fun and romance, and a home base for all the excitement that awaits in this enchanting mountain and valley world only minutes from vibrant Chattanooga. The Candlelight Forest Resort, of which the treehouse is part, is comprised of 200 acres of preserve that includes two small mountain lakes for catch and release fishing, hiking trails, and a park with badminton, corn hole, a fire pit, and a historic marquee tent with family games. The Plucky Peacock is our farmstand and country store which serves as your welcome center. Television celebrity host Pete Nelson of Treehouse Masters also built a lovely recreational treehouse inside Candlelight Forest for you to enjoy. Guests have full access to their private Treehouse and all of Candlelight Forest, close to 200 acres of preserve including two small mountain lakes, a creek and many trails and amenities. We believe we have carved out a unique niche in the getaway/resort venue industry. We have a devoted team that wants to ensure you have an amazing time at Candlelight Forest, recreating and relaxing yourselves in a world that hearkens back to a simpler time. These accommodations are perfectly located to take in Chattanooga and the many surrounding attractions that abound nearby, including Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rock City, Ruby Falls, and The Chickamauga National Battlefield Park, all about 20 minutes away. Our staff is very eager to help you with ideas outside the gate including great eateries in Chattanooga as well as in the Valley and along Lookout Mountain. We have three other accommodations in the event you want to plan a getaway with friends or a family reunion. We welcome both!

Our 3 BR, 2.5 bath home is close to downtown Chattanooga (14 mi) Ruby Falls & Rock City (7Mi), Lookout Mnt hang gliding park (1Mi) ,Covenant College( 5Mi ),Cloudland Canyon( 10Mi). You’ll love the breathtaking views and sunsets from the 2 rear decks. Master has a King bed and attached bath with a tub, 2nd BR a Queen, 3rd bdrm has 2 twins. There is a gas grill and dining table on the deck. * No smoking or pets allowed for the comfort of all our guests. Min age to rent is 25 per our insurance.

Welcome to our very quiet and lovely neighborhood, our cozy house is located on 5 acres off of a private road. Forest and pasture with plenty of space between neighbors. Our 4 BR house is a wonderful place for families. The pool is closed for the off season of OCT-MAY. Garage and apartment above garage are not included in the rental, occasionally this apartment is owner occupied, it has it's own deck and separate entrance, your privacy will be well respected during your stay.

The View

Incredible Mountain View Home only 25 minutes from Chattanooga. A short 7 minute drive up the mountain, Trenton, GA and Interstate 59 close by. TAG, Where TN, AL, and GA come together. A mountainous area dominated by Lookout Mtn., with elevations of 2000 feet. There are over 7,000 caves within an hours drive, including Howard’s Waterfall Cave directly below. Hiking trails with waterfalls abound. Our place is more than just a place to spend the night, it is a destination.
