Avalon House: The Mine Managers

The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. Beechworth Cabins are situated only a few minutes walk to the centre of town. There are only four self contained compact cabins, making it ideal for families as well as those wanting a peaceful getaway. Each cabin sleeps five or the entire place sleeps 20. Close to town centre, the Rail Trail, the Gorge, Lake Sambell, antiques stores, cafes, hotels, museums, the historical centre, walks and wineries. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.
