The Barn - Farm at Freeburgh on Ovens River

Within 10 minutes to the tourist town of Bright, and in close proximity to skiing and snow boarding at Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, a short 45 minute drive away. Horse stays are also an option, with trail riding close by!

Green Gables is a peaceful cottage situated in lush gardens on the banks of the Ovens River in Bright. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is right on our doorstep and we are also directly behind the Bright golf course- so pack your clubs! From Green Gables, it is an easy walk, ride or drive into the township of Bright with its boutique shops and eateries, regular festivals and of course beautiful European style landscape all nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps.

EV charge point available! Light and spacious, with a focus on comfort, this well laid-out, original Mount Beauty cottage, is ideally located for you to relax in and enjoy this beautiful area. We have tried to make a home away from home for you to enjoy. The house is not new and angular but mature, softened and comforting. If you are looking for old fashioned relaxation with comfy beds, sunny corners, throw rugs, books to read and DVDS to watch, this might be for you.

Enjoy a relaxing weekend get away where you can take in the fresh air and spectactular alpine views. Whether it's summer, autumn, winter or spring there is plenty to do- walks, hikes, mountain bike riding, horse riding, river swimming, rafting, skiing, snowboarding and taboggining. There are some excellent wineries in the surrounding areas to visit. Mount Beauty township is a short 2km walk or bike ride away.
