This delightful house is tucked away in a grove of trees overlooking the Vermont Saltpan,which is a bird sanctuary. Recent solar panels on the roof feed into a battery and inverter system. The Saltpan is fed only by rainfall and run-off from the mountains and in years when there has been low rainfall the pan often dries out.

Superb non-smoking garden cottage at the back of the main house. It sleeps 4 guests in two very luxurious en-suite double bedrooms (Air conditioned) with spacious TV- lounge and small kitchenette. This much-loved family beach house is separated from the ocean by only a narrow strip of coastal fynbos. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to watch the whales from the balcony overlooking False Bay (the whales visit from Aug to Dec). The downstairs bedroom has two single beds while the upstairs room has a queen bed and a small lounge area overlooking the ocean. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and two full bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath.
