Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. Yellow Bayou Plantation is a real working farm that sits on over 100 acres along the historic Yellow Bayou. The guesthouse is located behind the main house. It has an open floor plan, a full kitchen and an antique claw foot tub. There are horses, chickens, cows & honey bees located on the property as well as a stocked fishing pond and a swimming pool. You may see a combine harvesting a crop off in the distance or beekeeping activity. Come fall in love with this rural farming area.

The first floor has a large living/dining area with a sofa, dining table, modern, fully furnished kitchen and full bathroom. There’s a double size air mattress available upstairs. The downstairs contains a bedroom with queen sized bed and full bathroom. The cabin is 8 miles north of downtown St. Francisville and close to shopping, hiking and dining.

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. We do not allow pets. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.

Our cabin is located on a secondary road behind a locked gate nestled in the forest on six acres of property surrounded by pine and hardwood. Beautiful Brushy Creek is steps away from the porch. The Homochitto National Forest is minutes away. Here you can enjoy hiking, biking or bird watching in the quiet while watching wildlife. We also have games & TV/DVD player hookup only. Take a day or afternoon & go looking for arrowheads, fossils & other treasures like gold rocks.

With a deck overlooking the water, a comfy bed, and plenty of outdoor space, it covers all points of interest! A great hideaway spot for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families!
