It's a great base to explore the fells, enjoy the delights of Ambleside (less than 5 min walk to the high street), & then to hide away in front of a wood fire.

'Garn Yam' is tucked away up a quiet lane where we have a dedicated car parking space on the road by the cottage just in front of the grassed communal area , with Ambleside just being a short 2 minute walk away

The apartment faces south west and benefits from afternoon and evening sun. A private balcony is accessed from the kitchen; just the place to sit and relax after a day on the fells , so makes the most of the sunsets.

Situated in the heart of the Lake District this la’al (small) house is one of a kind. It’s quirky and small interior and ladder stairs make it a perfect little base in a quiet area of lovely Ambleside. Ideal for a couple or a 1 person stay. Private parking space. Minimum 3 night stay. Welcome to Crook a Beck Barn, Patterdale a former Cart Barn which we lovingly restored during 2017. The Barn is located on the original coach road in the hamlet of Crook a Beck, next to the village of Patterdale, in the heart of the Lake District, in one of the most beautiful Lake District valleys. During peak season - April to the end of October, 7 nights minimum stay with a Friday changeover. Short breaks may be available so please drop us a message to ask!
