The Tarka Suite

We live in a quiet location situated on the outskirts of Barnstaple, tucked away in a quiet residential area. Nearest amenities are approx 15 min walk. “The Tarka suite”is made up of 3 seperate rooms plus a covered garden room with electric points. There is a king sized bed, 2 seater sofa, a small dining area and small well equipped kitchen area which includes a std fridge, a ninja twin drawer acti fry and single hob. Crockery, pans and cutlery are provided. Use of hot tub at extra cost.

This 200 year old barn has been lovingly renovated to create a modern, open plan apartment that provides spacious accommodation for two. Its whitewashed stone walls and bare timbers retain the charm of the original building and two full length windows open onto a private patio and garden and flood the apartment with sunlight. Furnished with a mixture of the modern and the vintage, the walls are hung with original artworks and these elements combine to create a unique and beautiful retreat.

Our guest house is situated atop a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding scenery and historic Tarka Trail. Fully self-contained building, patio and parking area. Originally a threshing barn, but recently converted by the owners into a modern space which respectfully retains the character and proportions of the original barn. The eclectic mix of quirky, vintage objects and art give the Barn its unique character. A perfect hideaway for couples looking for something a little out of the ordinary.

In the former FJG Rainbow Confectioners, The Old Confectionery is located in the charming historic Street of Pilton, North Devon. It is a convenient 9-minute walk from Barnstaple town centre and a 15 minute walk to North Devon District Hospital. It is also well placed for Exmoor and the spectacular North Devon coastline which boasts some of the best surfing beaches in the country.
